Position: Care Assistant including live-in care assistants

Full-time Salary: Negotiable.

Job Overview: At Agness-Grace care we are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Assistants for domiciliary care including live-in. As a Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to our clients in their own homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals lead independent lives and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Administer medication following specific instructions and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques as required.
  • Support clients in maintaining their personal hygiene and ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
  • Help with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, adhering to any dietary requirements.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversations, and participating in activities.
  • Escort clients to appointments, social outings, and shopping trips as required.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients’ conditions or behavior to the care management team.
  • Assist with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining an organized living space.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Follow care plans and risk assessments, providing care and support in line with individual needs and preferences.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, infection control practices, and Agness Grace policies and procedures.
  • Attend training sessions, team meetings, and supervision sessions as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining clear and professional communication with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar care role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Reliable and punctual, with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our clients.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential.
